I offer hourly face to face sessions, which take place in a safe and comfortable room within a Wellbeing Centre in Congleton town centre.
I use a range of different theories and approaches which are detailed here.
Due to the current pandemic, at present I predominately offer Zoom, Skype and telephone counselling sessions but can offer some face to face sessions with restrictions in place.
This approach aims to create core conditions which will enable the client to freely express emotions and feelings. The core conditions are empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.
This is action focused and looks at working towards a set goal.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
This looks at your thought processes, identifying the negative ones and looking to change these.
This looks at childhood relationships and experiences and how these influence us today.
This theory focuses on clients’ experience in the present, uses techniques such as the empty chair.
